Aussie Muscle cars that haul arse!

I bought my Z28 a few years ago, and she has lived out most of her time in the garage. Originally purchased to be a daily drive, I just never had the time to drive her so she sits alone locked up in the shed.

Finished in a startling bright livery of Ferrari Red paint, offset with shiny chromed Cragar rims, she sports a bone velour interior trimmed with new black carpet floor coverings. Just for vanity, I have capped that off with a set of personalized number plates. The police just love see-ing my Camaro with it’s legal yet “False” plates on it. Yes that’s right my rego number is “FALSE”, on Queensland personalized Plates.

When purchased she had a tinny kind of note at low revs, and not at all like the throaty rumble a warmed up 350 small block should produce, so a quick trip down to the muffler and exhaust shop saw Billy Richardson fit her with a pair of flow-thru Lukeys. Ahhh.. thanks Bill, just the way I like it, quietly conservative at idle, yet distinctly not a bog- standard 350, and snarling like an angry woman when you throw the boot into her!

The tyres were a lot of fun also. She now runs 14″ rims instead of the factory 15’s, and when I got her she had a lovely wide set of Bridgestone 330 Eagers on the back. Unfortunately you cannot buy a set of 165’s in a 14 for love nor money, so we had to replace them with a beefy set of 145’s with a slightly larger than 60 profile. No matter, from the back she still looks great in her beefy wide shoes, and surprises everyone when they see the good ole fashioned 14″ rims instead of a set of 15 or 16’s as they expected.

Occasionally I will get her out of the shed, warm the engine, slide off the t-roof glass, and point her down the highway.
